Must Have Tools For Beginner Jewellers

Everybody's creative process is different and so the tools we all use will vary. But these five jewelry making tools are universally the best tools to accomplish any jewelry design you can think of.

ROUND NOSE PLIERS

These pliers are needed to close wire pins and closing jump rings. If you do any sort of dangle earrings or chain jewelry you will want a pair of these.

FLAT HEAD PLIERS

These are used the close jump rings, straighten wire pins and can be used to close crimp beads easily. If you work with faux leather, wire string, wire pins or chain you will definitely want a pair of these, your finger tips will thank you!

WIRE CUTTERS

Used to... well cut things like wire and chain. I mean unless your designs take up an entire roll of wire or chain I think it's kinda obvious why you would need these in your work bench.

SCISSORS

Like wire cutters, these cut things, but weak or think things like hemp string or the string beads come on. You would think you could just use wire cutters but that would actually make them dull so having a pair of scissors handy helps out alot.

BEAD BOARD

This isn't essential to all jewelry styles, but for beaded chain project or beaded bracelets, having a bead board with measurements is a HUGE time saver. The extra bead trays are really help full when coming up with a color theme and bead pattern.
