What Is S.E.O.?
S.E.O. Basic Understanding
S.E.O. stands for Search Engine Optimization. So what is a search engine and why would you optimize it? A search engine is a site/tool like Google, Bing, Yahoo ect... this search engine is what buyers type what they are looking for. When a buyer types in a word/phrase the search engine searches through all the pages on the world wide web for matching words or phrases.
I think it's pretty self explanatory as to why you would want to optimize how often search engines find your web page/ products. but for the sake of cover all the bases... you want to make sure you OPTIMIZE your chances of being found by a search engine BECAUSE that means you have a greater chance of finding new customers.
So how do you optimize your products/ pages...
****FOCUS ON YOUR KEYWORDS*****
Using Google Trends you can find what terms and phrases people are actually searching in your niche.
Example; You have a sticker shop and you want to know what people are searching in relation to stickers. Your TOPICS would be "Stickers" "Stationary" "Craft supplies" " Scrapbooking"
Key words in those topics would be some thing like "Cute sticker sheets" "Animal Themed Stationary" and so on.
Once you have a list of Topics and Keywords you will want to use these keywords and phrases as much as you can. In hashtags, titles, descriptions and so on. The more you match with those keywords the more likely you are to be found by the search engines.
*****Trend Change Constantly!!! *****
To keep yourself RELEVANT and up to date, you want to make sure you are always updating what keywords you use. I try to update my keywords at the change of seasons so I only have to do it four times a year but if you have the time you could do it at the end of every month of maybe even just once a year.
An Action Plan
Here are a few steps to take to get yourself on a roll with S.E.O.

- apply key words to titles
